Urdang International
Urdang International is a Dubai branch within The Dang Global. At Urdang International, we offer a variety of Musical Theatre and Dance opportunities for performers in Dubai and across the UAE. This includes pre-vocational and vocational training, masterclasses and competitions. Our faculty is composed of international industry professionals who live in Dubai.
Our faculty travel all over the UAE delivering masterclasses and workshops at both academic schools and private performing arts schools. We have exceptional choreographers and musical directors at our disposal should a school request assistance with their musical and dance productions.
Urdang International also provides a series of ‘Masterclass Mondays’ in association with UDO Academy. Once per month we deliver a variety of classes at GEMS Wellington Academy, Silicon Oasis that offer students a taste of what vocational training is like. The class genres and styles are subject to change each month, keep an eye on our Instagram page to find out more!
At Urdang International, we offer support and training for registered centres delivering The Dang Theatre and Dance Syllabuses in Dubai and across the UAE.
The Urdang Theatre School, part of Urdang International in Dubai, has become a hugely successful and popular ECA. We provide academic schools with sessions taught by our faculty, these include 1.5 hour classes in dance, singing and acting. Dance sessions involve a fun physical warm-up followed by learning choreography. On occasion this includes original choreography from a musical theatre production.Singing sessions involve a vocal warm-up, learning musical theatre repertoire, practising harmonies in ensemble singing and building confidence in singing as a soloist (optional).
The acting sessions include playing drama games to break the ice, focusing on scripts from musical theatre productions, learning and performing monologues/duologues from musicals as well as studying techniques for acting through song. The sessions will help students to develop their skills in all three disciplines and build their overall confidence.
The Urdang Theatre School is open to children aged 6 – 18 years (this depends on the school venue). Students will work towards a Musical Theatre and Dance showcase at the end of the school year in which family and friends are invited to watch (this depends on the school venue).
